Full Time Faculty -IS instructor

 Great teaching opportunity which focuses on active learning and engaging students in the learning environment.  Faculty members are also responsible for grading and providing valuable feedback to students in a timely manner, mentoring students in groups or individually, redesigning and evaluating curriculum, developing coursework and materials, and other activities related to effective instruction.

This position would focus on performing the roles outlined above in the following subject areas:
  • Advanced Network Architecture to include:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Server / Other Linux Flavors
  • Scripting Skills: bash, power shell, python
  • IPv4/IPv6 Subnetting
  • Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • VLAN’s
  • OSI Model
  • Systems Administration
  • Windows Server 2012
  • LAMP and IIS Administration
  • Security Engineering
  • Firewalls/ACL’s
  • Ports, Protocols, and Services
  • Auditing and Fingerprinting
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Ethical Hacking
  • Virtualization
  • VMware and Hyper-V
  • VDI Solutions
  • Virtual Network Standards and Design
  • 5-10+ years’ experience working in large datacenter environments
  • Must have a deep understanding of network, system, and security design/implementation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology required
  • Master's degree or higher in MIS or related field or equivalent industry experience is preferred
  • At least 2 industry certifications (CCNA, MSCA, MCSE, VCP, CISSP, Security +, RHCSA, etc…)
  • 2-5+ years’ experience in management and leadership roles preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with peers and students
  • Outstanding conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
